Firas Kattoussi won the bronze medal at the Taekwondo World Championship in the less than 74 kg category in the Taekwondo World Championship.
Firas Kattoussi (8th in the Olympic and 4th world classification) won the bronze medal after being beaten, in the semi-finals by the Brazilian Edival Pontes (2-1).
It was the Spaniard Daniel Quesada Barrera who won the gold medal after his victory against the Brazilian Edival Pontes, during the male final of the under 74 kg.
Thanks to this medal, Firas Kattoussi improved its Olympic rank to rank fifth.
Tunisian participation in this world championship, which is currently taking place, in Guadalajara in Mexico, is not over since the young Yassine Barhoumi (less than 63 kg), is entering competition this Friday, November 18, just like Chaima Toumi (less than 53 kg).
Khalil Jendoubi, on the other hand, will enter the competition next Sunday.
