The Taekwondoist, Firas Kattoussi won the bronze medal under 80 kg of the Taekwondo Grand Prix de Manchester (Great Britain) which ended yesterday.
Kattoussi eliminated, in turn, a Greek wrestler, then an Egyptian Seif Aissa, Olympic vice-champion and 3rd in the world. But the Tunisian wrestler had to admit defeated against the Korean winner of the Grand Prix.
This bronze medal will allow Firas Kattoussi to improve its global ranking and prepare well for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Note that the Olympic vice-champion Mohamed Khalil Jendoubi (-58 kg) won, Friday, October 21, the silver medal in its category during the Manchester Grand Prix.
Khalil Jendoubi could have won gold but he only gave in to the last seconds of the third round in the final against South Korean Park Tajoon by losing 1-2.
