The disciplinary committee of the International Football Federation (FIFA), announced yesterday that it rejected France’s claim against the Tunisia-France score (1-0), following the refused goal of Antoine Griezmann by the referee after the resumption of the game.
While Griezmann thought he had equalized in the very last moments of the game, the referee had finally canceled his goal for an offside, after being called by his assistants from the Var (video assistance to the arbitration).
Before making this decision, he had whistled the resumption of the game and then the end of the match. The French Football Federation (FFF) had thus brought a complaint to the FIFA to have the scoring canceled and return to a draw (1-1).
Tunisia’s victory over France is definitely validated.
