New quarter-final between Ons Jabeur and Coco Gauff, seventeen days after their quarter played in Roland Garros and won by the American and two years after a semi-final played in Berlin and won by the Tunisian.

The Tunisian Ons Jabeur, 10th WTA and the American Cori Gauff, 2nd in the world, are again after their quarter -final disputed on June 4 in Roland Garros and won by the American.

The two players compete today as part of the quarter -final of the Berlin WTA 500 tournament while Coco Gauff, acts as a big favorite for the final victory.

The challenge is big for Ons Jabeur, who should not give way to chance in the face of the young player, only 20 years old and who is shaking up (almost) everything in her path for a few weeks.

Ons Jabeur will have experience for her and the advantage of knowing her opponent very well that she has faced seven times in the past, the American leading 5-2 during these seven confrontations.

In 2020, Coco Gauff beat Ons Jabeur twice, the first time in the quarterfinals of the Lexington Tournament and a second time in the 1st round of the Rome Tournament.

In 2021, Ons Jabeur won in Charleston in the quarterfinals, but Coco Gauff had taken his revenge to Roland Garros by eliminating the Tunisian at the stage of the knockout stages.

In 2022, Ons Jabeur won in the semi-finals of the Berlin tournament. On October 30, 2023 during the WTA Finals of Cancun when Gauff had laminated Ons Jabeur in two sets (6-0, 6-1).

Their last confrontation therefore dates back to June 4 to Roland Garros when Ons Jabeur had been eliminated by Cori Gauff in three sets (6-4, 2-6, 3-6).

Today’s match is set at 1:00 p.m. at Steffi Graf Stadion and will be broadcast on BeIN Sports FR 3.
