Tuesday, November 4, 2025 — The Champions League offered an evening of contrasts and surprises: Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain fell, respectively against Liverpool and Bayern Munich. Two major setbacks, synonymous with a rude awakening for two of the announced favorites.

At Anfield, Liverpool defeats Real (1-0)

It took a gesture, a breath, a man to make Real Madrid bend. It was Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentine midfielder from Liverpool, until then discreet, offered his team a prestigious victory (1-0) with an angry header in the second half.
Anfield exploded. Real, for their part, conceded their first defeat of the season in the Champions League, powerless despite the efforts of Vinícius and Rodrygo.

Arne Slot’s Reds scored a founding success, their third in four matches, and came back level with Real with 9 points each, but remained behind on goal difference. A tasty revenge for a club still marked by the rout of 2022.

At the Parc, Paris loses to Bayern (1-2)

In Paris, the evening turned into a nightmare. In front of their home crowd, PSG suffered the law of a realistic and aggressive Bayern Munich, winning 2-1.
The unfortunate hero is Luis Díaz, double scorer (4th, 32nd) before being sent off just before the break for a violent tackle on Hakimi. In the meantime, Dembélé had left his partners, injured (25th), later imitated by Hakimi, in tears.

Reduced to ten, Bayern held on despite the reduction in the score of João Neves (74th). Paris pushed on, without ever finding the fault. A first defeat in the competition for Luis Enrique’s team, now third in their group behind the Bavarians.
