The Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Ezzahi, indicated, this Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at a press conference, that the amount of debts of the clubs of the Ligue 1 towards the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) amounts to 55 million dinars, of which 21 million are due by a club which currently competes in the Play-Off phase.
And to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamel Deguiche to specify that eight clubs out of a total of sixteen engaged in Ligue 1 championship accumulated until the second quarter of this year, 55 million dinars of debt, calling these clubs as well as the other clubs to engage in “social amnesty”, before the expiration of legal deadlines set for July 27.
He stressed that “social amnesty” will allow sports associations to re -enter the debts due by social funds on the one hand, and to remove all of the late penalties for the last five years for associations which regulate their situation on the other hand, provided that they undertake to respect the timetable for the payment of the principal of the debt, while taking into account certain cases despite the critical situation.
He recalled that the incapacity of clubs to settle their positions vis-à-vis social funds represents a major obstacle and an obstacle to their obtaining financial and material support from the supervisory authority.
