The Union Sportive Monastirienne (USMo) begins its adventure in the second preliminary round of the African Champions League this Friday with a promising North African duel against Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (JSK). The match will be played at 3:00 p.m. at the Taïeb Mehiri stadium in Sfax, under the direction of Gabonese referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho.

After having brilliantly passed the first round by dominating the East End Lions of Sierra Leone (4-0 in the first leg, 3-1 in the return), the men of Montassar Louhichi hope to continue this momentum. The objective is clear: take a serious option on qualification before the return match, scheduled for Saturday October 25 at the Hocine-Aït-Ahmed stadium in Tizi-Ouzou.

Confident, solid collectively and supported by a squad in good shape, the Monastirians intend to exploit their home advantage to falter an opponent with well-established African experience.

For its part, JS Kabylie, a legendary Algerian football club, approaches this confrontation with the desire to reconnect with its glorious continental past. The Kabyle team, accustomed to major African meetings, knows that a good result in Sfax would be decisive before receiving back in its lair of Tizi-Ouzou.
