The Tunisian selection is preparing to play a very high intensity match against Tanzania, with qualification for the round of 16 in their sights. For this decisive meeting, Sami Trabelsi should rely on a backbone combining experienced executives and offensive youth.
Tunisia is playing big this Tuesday in Rabat. Opposed to Tanzania on the last day of Group C, the Carthage Eagles know that a positive result would open the doors to the round of 16 of CAN 2025. A few hours before kick-off, the probable composition begins to take shape.
Trabelsi focuses on balance
For this pressure match, the national coach should opt for a balanced formation, structured around a solid central defense and a midfielder capable of controlling the tempo. Aymen Dahmen is expected to keep the cages, supported by a defensive line which would include Ali Abdi, Yan Valéry, Dylan Bronn and Montassar Talbi.
In the midfield, Elyes Skhiri should play the role of regulator, supported by Hannibal Mejbri. The third position in the middle remains open, with an expected duel between Ismaïl Gharbi and Ferjani Sassi depending on the tactical option chosen.
In attack, Sébastien Tounekti and Elyes Achouri should liven up the corridors, while Hazem Mastouri is expected to occupy the axis.
