The Confederation of African Football has formalized the schedule for the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations. Prestigious posters are on the program, including a Tunisia–Mali clash in Casablanca.
Senegal–Sudan and Tunisia–Mali to start the eighth
The round of 16 will begin on Saturday with two matches. Senegal will open the ball against Sudan at the Grand Stade de Tangier. This confrontation will be led by Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida.
In the evening, attention will be focused on the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, scene of the duel between Tunisia and Mali. The match will be refereed by South African Tom Abongile, designated for this high-stakes match.
Morocco and Cameroon expected on Sunday
On Sunday, Morocco will face Tanzania at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat. The direction of the match was entrusted to the Malian referee Boubou Traoré.
Later in the evening, South Africa will cross swords with Cameroon at the El Barid stadium, also in Rabat, in a matchup that promises intense tactical opposition.
Egypt, Nigeria and Algeria in search of the quarters
On Monday, Egypt will face Benin at the Grand Stade in Agadir, under the refereeing of Gabonese Pierre Atcho. In the evening, Nigeria will challenge Mozambique at the Fez stadium, with Ugandan Désiré Doué Ndiaye on the whistle.
The last day of the eighth will be played on Tuesday. Algeria will face DR Congo at the Prince Moulay El Hassan stadium in Rabat, a match entrusted to Egyptian referee Mohamed Maarouf. In closing, Côte d’Ivoire will meet Burkina Faso at the Grand Stade in Marrakech.
