At forced rest after his knee injury, Ons Jabeur loses ground in the face of his competitors and regresses in 4th place in the WTA ranking.

By qualifying for the semi-finals of the WTA 500 of Doha, the American Jessica Pegula has climbed in 3rd place and now reaches 5,130 points (+130). A total sufficient to dislodge Ons Jabeur (5111 points) which is demolished in 4th place.

The Tunisian can even consider herself happy since the Frenchwoman, Caroline Garcia (5th with 4835 points) has been eliminated in the quarter -finals in Doha and will therefore not be able to catch her.

Having lost 2nd place in the world for the benefit of the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, victorious of the Australian Open, Ons Jabeur, was announced to the Opens of Doha and Dubai, but she had to declare because of an injury that she had been dragging since her last participation in Melbourne, at the end of January, where she was eliminated in the 2nd round.
