It was at the municipal theater of Tunis that Tunisie Telecom chose to organize a tribute ceremony to our tennis champion Ons Jabeur. She who has been sponsored by the first operator in Tunisia for a year and a half now.
In the presence of a large number of representatives of different media, photographers and guests, Ons Jabeur was warmly welcomed on stage alongside Mr. Lassaâd Ben Dhieb, CEO of Tunisia Telecom, and Mrs. Hela Goucha, Communication, Commercial and Corporate Director.
And it is with the slogans “celebrate” and “tounès maâ ons” (“tunisia with ons”) displayed on the big screen that our national pride presented its silver tray, the “Venus Roswater Dish”, as we call it there in England, won in Wimbledon.
After a spot that presented the champion and her recent course in the various competitions, marked by multiple victories, the floor was given to the two officials who praised our champion and all that she was able to bring to Tunisia.
But also all the hope that it gave birth to among the young Tunisians and the joy given to all the Tunisian people.
They expressed all their confidence to see ons Jabeur rebound for other successes and tear this 1st place in the world ranking, starting with the US Open, the next tournament which will take place in August.
The two speakers also recalled all the joy that she could bring, not only to Tunisians, but also to the whole Arab and African community, being the first at this level of having reached this level in the ATP and WTA ranking, and the stages put forward in international competitions.
For his part, ons Jabeur expressed all his thanks to Tunisie Telecom who believed in her and in her means since her young age, becoming her official partner and continuing to support her for the next stages of her victorious march.
After which, ons Jabeur presented himself on the balcony of the municipal theater to greet the general public who awaited him on avenue Habib Bourguiba for the ovation with a deployed throat, pavaning with the Tunisian flag and to which she addressed all her thanks for her encouragement and the love that this large audience has. A love certainly shared.
