$ 3.5 million for each participating club

The president of the African Football Federation, Patrice Word, announced, today Wednesday, August 10, 2022, the official launch of the African Super League.

During a press conference held on the sidelines of the work of the 44th General Assembly of CAF in Tanzania, words presented some details on the organization of this new competition.

He added that a million dollars will be paid to each member country of the Confederation to modernize football and participate in the success of the Super League.

In total, 24 clubs will participate in this competition and each of them will collect the sum of $ 3.5 million (the equivalent of some 10 million dinars) for financial the costs of travel, recruitments and wages …

The president of the CAF also specified, during this assembly, that the sum of $ 50 million will be spent to support the Super League.

The total cost of this competition will be $ 100 million, pending the presentation of other details on how to choose the 24 participants and the championship regime.

All the details of this competition will be communicated later that this day, he added.
