The Tunisian Halterophilia selection won 24 medals (12 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze) at the African discipline championships, which take place until November 1 in Cairo.
Nouha Landolsi (59 kg) won 3 medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze). Chayma Rahmouni (64 kg) won 3 gold medals.
The world champion Ghofrane Belkhir (59 kg) won 3 medals (2 gold and 1 silver). The talented Sejir Jebali (55 kg) won 3 gold medals and also broke the African and Arab record for the master’s (120 kg). Souhir Khemiri (55 kg) won 3 silver medals.
In men, Aziz Belhaj (61 kg) won 3 medals (1 gold and 2 silver). Ditto for Amine Bouhajla (61 kg) who won 3 medals (2 gold and 1 silver) and for Ayoub Salem (67 kg) who won a silver medal and two in bronze.
