2026 world qualifiers: Tunisia is ready for battle

National coach Sami Trabelsi announced today, Saturday, August 30, 2025, the list of players summoned for the next two qualifying matches at the 2026 World Cup: Tunisia – Liberia on September 4 in Radès and Equatorial Guinea – Tunisia on September 8 in Malabo.

Challenges

These matches are crucial to maintaining Tunisia at the top of group H and ensuring direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup. Trabelsi relies on a balance between experienced players and young talents to strengthen the national team.

The meeting against Liberia counting for the 7th day of group H will be played on September 4 in Rades (8:00 p.m.). Four days later, on September 8, Tunisia moved to Malabo to face Equatorial Guinea at 2:00 p.m., on behalf of the 8th day.

The last two meetings, Sao Tomé-et-Principe-Tunisia (9th day) and Tunisia-Namibia (10th day) are scheduled for October.

Group H classification before the two shocks

Before these two decisive meetings, Tunisia occupies the first place in group H with 16 points, in front of Namibia (12 points), Liberia (10 points), Equatorial Guinea (7 points), Malawi (6 points) and Sao Tomé-et-Principe (0 point).
