A former mayor of KEF was sentenced to two years in prison for abuse of power.
The first assistant prosecutor of the KEF tribunal of first instance, Yosri Haouami, announced, in a declaration to Mosaic FM, that the criminal chamber of the court rendered his judgment during the hearing of November 27, sentenced the former mayor of Kef.
The latter was found guilty of having abused his public service to obtain personal advantages and harm the administration, in violation of the laws in force.
The former mayor was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 10,960,625 Dinars. It was also prohibited to exercise any public service and participate in the elections for five years.
The prosecution decided to appeal this decision, as Yosri Haouami said.
