Three fires broke out this Monday, June 2, 2025 in the governorate of Béja, according to a source of civil protection cited by Mosaic FM.
The first fire was reported to Aïn Blouine, in the delegation of Béja Nord. The intervention teams managed to master it quickly. However, a second fire started in the same area, and extinction operations are still underway.
A third fire, meanwhile, touched a wheat farm in Mestaouta, in the delegation of South Béja. The flames spread quickly due to the climatic conditions, and the firefighters are always mobilized to try to circumscribe the fire.
Local authorities call for vigilance, especially in agricultural areas, during this period when fire risks are increased by hot weather and drought.
