The mayor of Bizerte Kamel Ben Amara was dismissed this Thursday, December 1, 2022 on presidential decree for various reasons.
According to the said decree published in the JORT, the mayor was dismissed for having committed serious faults, violated the law and for involvement in the public interest.
Reacting to this decision, Kamel Ben Amara said that he was still the legitimate mayor and that he was going to seize the administrative court.
Recall that the mayor in question had refused the decision of the governor of Bizerte relating to the need to embellish the city on the occasion of the visit of the President of the Republic during the October 15 evacuation festival.
