The Confederation of Citizen Companies of Tunisia (CONECT) launched a platform aimed at facilitating the creation of businesses in the least developed regions, and intended in particular for women, young people and disabilities. This platform, Conect Innovation & Entreneurship Platform (CIEP), manifests itself by a caravan which will travel 14 regions.
According to Ms. Douja Gharbi, the first vice-president of the conect and project coordinator, this caravan will concern three regions in 2014: Tataouine, Sidi Bouzid and Bizerte.
A link between project leaders and financial organizations
“It is a caravan reserved for ideas. In each region, its mission will be to collect registrations, then in a second step, we select the 30 best projects of projects. Our role is to make the link between project leaders and financial organizations and to facilitate registration on the CIEP platform, and to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship ”.
“From January 2015, the caravan will extend to 11 other regions (Kef, Siliana, Zaghouan, Kairouan, Mahdia, Kasserine, Gafsa, Tozeur, Kebili, Gabes and Médenine) and will be repeated, then,”, specifies Mrs. Gharbi.
More than 200 project leaders recorded in half a day in Tataouine
“For this first half-day in Tataouine, we have already recorded more than 200 project leaders. There will be 30 selected and 15 projects put on hold for next year, ”says Ms. Gharbi.
The “winners” will be able to undergo training and be guided for the financing, launch and monitoring of their project.
