The Ministry of Equipment and Housing announced in a press release the temporary closure, for a duration of 24 hours, of the link between the regional route n ° 22 (South expressway) and the national route n ° 3, at the level of the Gauce Hospital in Ben Arous.
This closure, carried out in coordination with the traffic police services, will start on Saturday January 4, 2025 at 6 am.
According to the ministry, this measure is necessary to carry out work to install a new layer of bituminous concrete.
Vehicles from Tunis and heading to the national road n ° 3 are invited to continue their way to the Bir Kassâa roundabout, to turn around towards Tunis, then to turn right to the Gaugeurée hospital, before resuming the national road n ° 3.
Aware of the disturbances that this change could generate, in particular in terms of traffic jams, the ministry calls for all road users to redouble vigilance. He recommends respecting the signaling implemented, reducing speed and being cautious.
These works aim to improve the safety and fluidity of traffic on this strategic axis.
