A strike by Navettes boats agents is likely to disrupt traffic to and from the island of Djerba. The movement will start on Sunday August 17 at midnight and will end Tuesday August 19 at midnight. All bins services are concerned, except urgent interventions, according to the Médenine Regional Labor Union.
To avoid inconvenience, the Ministry of Equipment and Housing recommends an alternative route. The drivers must take the highway to the broadcaster of the Médenine entrance, then follow the national road n ° 1 in the direction of Zarzis. Then, they can join Djerba via the regional road n ° 117, known as the “Roman road” which crosses the bridge.
The authorities urged users to anticipate their trips and follow the recommended routes. They insist on vigilance to limit the congestion to the usual crossing points during the strike.
