The president of the association “Alrahma”, Jamila Ammar, announced on Monday August 25, 2025, that the court sentenced the author of the assault to three months in prison. The man attacked the dog “Rocky” with a sharp instrument in a district of Sousse, causing serious wounds that resulted in his death.
For Jamila Ammar, this verdict does justice to Rocky. It also insists on the need to strengthen laws to better protect animals and prevent such violence.
The assault caused severe injuries, including total paralysis and bleeding in the eyes, which led to the death of the dog. The prosecution quickly took care of the case, arrested the author and placed it in Msaken’s civil prison.
