New drama of the road affecting agricultural workers. In Sidi Bouzid, a new accident has made several victims, including a death and around thirty injured.
The slippage of a transport truck of agricultural workers on the road connecting Ouled Khalfa to Jelma to Sidi Bouzid caused the death of an agricultural worker today while thirty, were injured in this accident, said on Mosaique FM Mosaique, on Monday, February 5, 2024 on Monday, February 5, 2024 on Mosaique FM, Colonel Ziad Sdiri, Regional Director of Civil Protection Bouzid.
The civil protection teams and eight ambulances went to the scene and all the injured were transported to the local hospital in Jelma and the Sidi Bouzid regional hospital. Among the passengers aboard the truck were also two children aged five and six.
The road accidents of which our agricultural workers are victims follow each other and are alike and each day brings its share of incidents, just as identical as each other.

Where are we with regard to the issuance of exceptional authorizations for the transport of agricultural workers, the only legal means of covering and ensuring the safety conditions of these workers?
Isn’t the question of transporting agricultural workers under these difficult conditions a form of trafficking in people? At a time when our workers die on the roads, nobody moves even the little fingers to remedy a scourge that continues.
