Tension rises to Zarzis against the backdrop of the crisis of migrants who died drowned three weeks ago.

This Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the inhabitants organized a protest to call for direct intervention on the part of the President of the Republic in order to find the migrants that are still missing.

They even threatened to organize a march to Djerba on the sidelines of the holding of the Francophonie summit on November 19 and 20.

HEDI HMIDI President of the Regional Labor Union attributed responsibility for this situation to the authorities, calling to prosecute all those involved in this case.

The tension went up again to Zarzis against the backdrop of the burial affair of victims of clandestine migration without identification. Indeed, the city has experienced strong tensions, for several days, young people protested in the street and blocked several roads.

These movements come from following the announcement of the results of genetic tests for identifying nine remains, decided by the management judge of the governorate.
