Two individuals from Kasserine were arrested yesterday Thursday, December 12 for the apology of terrorism.
The main assistant of the public prosecutor at the Kasserine court of first instance and spokesperson for the courts of Kasserine, Imed Laamari, confirmed, in a statement to Mosaic FM this Thursday, December 12, 2024, the custody of two individuals for the apology of terrorist groups and belonging to a terrorist organization.
Indeed, Kasserine’s security units arrested the two suspects after an intelligence work carried out by the specialized regional service of Kasserine.
The suspects would have glorified Takfirist extremist groups and terrorist personalities classified worldwide, while calling for reproducing the Syrian scenario in Tunisia and Algeria.
Tunisia had, at the start of events in Syria, qualified the rebels as terrorists calling for preserving Syrian soil. After the fall of Bashar al-Assad, Tunisian diplomacy considered that these events constitute an internal Syrian affair.
