The first adviser to the President of the Republic Mourad Halloumi stressed that the detailed technical procedures relating to the Kairouan Medical City will soon be finalized. The project which will generate 50 thousand direct and indirect jobs will include a hospital center bringing together 13 medical specialties and several training and education units in addition to an industrial unit linked to medical and pharmaceutical activities.
In response to deputies during a plenary on Monday devoted to the examination of the budget of the Presidency of the Republic, he refuted any intention to suppress the institution of administrative mediator which, he assured, will continue to accomplish his mission in order to restore confidence in the bodies of the State.
Addressing the Tunisian Institute of Strategic Studies, the manager said that an economic research and intelligence unit will be created within the establishment. He has added that more than 30 strategic research published in the past four years on the institute’s website have been made available to the large public.
He added that the Institute develops studies encompassing economic, social and health areas as well as security, defense and digital communication. The goal is to understand geostrategic mutations and develop all the possible scenarios. Among the activities of the Institute, also include the geopolitical monitoring publications that experts write (20 documents per year) and which are subject to the President of the Republic.
The institute, now looks at the development of a study on human security in Tunisia which will be addressed to parliamentary commissions or to the parliamentary academy, he replied.
