Following the death of three high school students in Mazzouna, victims of the collapse of a school wall, protest movements took place this Tuesday, April 15 in Sidi Bouzid and Monastir.
In Sidi Bouzid, the regional order of lawyers organized a sit-in and announced the creation of a commission to initiate prosecution against the alleged officials.
In Mazzouna, during a day of anger coinciding with the funeral, the union of secondary education denounced the negligence of the authorities, recalling an alert issued on March 28.
In Monastir, a day of mourning was observed in front of the regional education police station. The deputy secretary general of the basic secondary school union, Mohsen Maghmoura told the TAP agency that this protest movement is a call to the need to renovate schools, in particular, in a disadvantaged environment.
