The community company “At-Tayssir for sheep farming” Entry this Saturday in the Raguouba East Saturday, under the delegation of Sidi Makhlouf (Governorate of Médenine). With this launch, the number of cooperative companies in this delegation is three: a specialized in breeding, and two others in fishing and textiles.
At Sidi Makhlouf level, ten cooperative companies are being created at different stages, according to the local delegate, Fathi Boudour.
This company has 120 sheep heads, 5 rams and 3 hectares dedicated to the culture of Luzerne. It constitutes the fifth agricultural company of the delegation. It should become an important player in the sector, help to boost the local economic fabric and improve the landscape of development in the region. In terms of social impact, it offers 50 employment stations and will help regulate the meat market, while promoting the direct sale of the producer to the consumer.
According to the delegate, the cooperative companies of Sidi Makhlouf are advancing safely towards success and influence in their environment. They embody the hope of the inhabitants, appear as a refuge and represent an effective economic alternative to transform the face of the region and instill a new momentum there.
But a question remains: Can this type of cooperative initiatives really revitalize local development and offer a sustainable model for other regions of Tunisia?
