Mbarka Brahmi, widow of the deputy murdered last year Mohamed Brahmi, will be at the top of the Popular Front (FP) list in Sidi Bouzid for the legislative elections which will take place on October 26.
According to the party’s statement on Monday, August 18, the popular current of which Mohamed Brahmi was the secretary general (after leaving the popular movement a week before his assassination), has no intention of leaving the FP.
Khelifa Chouchane, member of the popular current denied rumors of a split with the FP and the designation of another candidate, Saâdi Brahmi, brother of deceased Brahmi, who is a resident in Italy.
Still according to Khelifa Chouchane, the popular current and its candidates will be represented in the legislative elections under the banner of the FP and no independent list at the FP exists.
