Ben Guerdane’s local Labor Union published a statement announcing that Friday, March 7, 2025 would be a public holiday, coinciding with the celebrations of the ninth anniversary of the epic of March 7.
However, no official state body has made a decision to approve or reject this announcement of the local labor union.
Parents of primary, secondary and vocational training students were surprised to learn that some school directors in Ben Guerdane had announced the suspension of the courses for Friday, while others have maintained a normal schedule.
Faced with this confusion, many parents gathered in front of schools to request clarifications and claim a unified decision.
This divergence in the application of the measure was not limited to schools, but also affected other public institutions, where information oscillates between normal prosecution of activities and alignment with the decision of the Labor Union to suspend work this Friday.
