Gabès civil protection rescue workers intervened in an emergency to transfer 11 agricultural workers to the local hospital in El Hamma, after poisoning occurred when applying a pesticide.
According to a press release from the Civil Protection spokesperson, the workers have briefly lost knowledge and suffered from breathing difficulties as well as symptoms of asphyxiation after being exposed to the toxic product.
