electricity clippings this Sunday, April 20 in several regions

The Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) announced that it will proceed this Sunday, April 20, 2025, to power cuts programmed in several localities across the country. These interruptions, which are part of its regular maintenance of distribution networks, will take place in Sousse, Monastir, Kasserine and Mahdia.

In Sousse Ville, the power supply will be suspended from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm in several districts: Boukhzar, the surroundings of the university household Zine El Abidine, the residences Essedik, Hammam Maârouf, the Rayani subdivision located opposite the Olympic stadium, as well as the city Oued Ghnim.

In the delegation of Zeramdine (governorate of Monastir), the cut will last from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The impacted areas are Menzel Hayet, Mazawgha, Hadadra and Melichat, under the municipality of Menzel Hayet.

In the center-west of the country, Hassi Frid, in the governorate of Kasserine, will also be affected by an interruption from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The affected localities include Ouled Ali, Aïn Nouba, Ermilah, Mziraa, Ouled Ayad, the city center of Hassi Frid, El Kamour, Essahla, Jekhatiya, Ouedda, Ksour Touil, El Hachayem, Aïn Salem, Ghouira, Aïn Sidi Mahmoud as well as Mokassam Ettarab.

Finally, in the governorate of Mahdia, several areas will be deprived of electricity between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This concerns Farhat Hached (Djebana El Yahoud district), the road to Boumerdes (between Café Krato and the Café Mohsen Café crossroads), avenue Ali Belhouane, part of the Zahra district, the avenue de Tunis (from Café Jebali to Kouchat El Bey), rue Hassan Brahim, the Raouda district Amir), as well as part of avenue Taieb Mehiri, rue Zouila and the Soukiet Ezit district.

The STEG said that the restoration of electricity will be done gradually and without notice, depending on the progress of technical interventions. It recommends residents and companies concerned areas to take the necessary precautions.
