The authorities launched, this Thursday, April 24, 2025, a vast operation of dismantling an informal camp of migrants located in Henchir El Karkni, in the delegation of El Amra (Governorate of Sfax).
Security units of the police and the National Guard proceeded, in the morning of this Thursday, April 24, 2025, to the evacuation of the site housing a camp of migrants in an irregular situation.
The site housed around 2,500 migrants in an irregular situation, mainly from country from sub -Saharan Africa. The operation takes place with the support of specialized teams of health services and civil protection, responsible for dismantling and withdrawal of tents.
