The Regional Commission for the Prevention and Fight against Jendouba disasters announced the suspension of courses in all the institutions of the governorate this Friday. This decision was made due to the particularly difficult weather conditions scheduled for the coming days.
According to forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), Tunisia faces a wave of bad weather this Thursday and Friday, with torrential rains, gusts of wind and a significant drop in temperatures in several regions of the country, especially in the North West, where the Governorate of Jendouba is located.
Local authorities have decided to act preventively to ensure the safety of students and educational staff.
This measure concerns all schools, including primary schools, colleges and high schools.
Weather forecasts announce significant accumulation of rain, which may cause floods in the low areas. The strong winds could also cause material damage and disrupt traffic.
