The city of Sahline, in the governorate of Monastir, was the scene of tensions last night, marked by clashes between inhabitants and the police. According to an informed source quoted by Jawhara FM, members of the family of a detainee, accused of having assaulted the chief of the police station, tried to attack the police station.
As a sign of protest, a group of people blocked the main road in the city center by burning tires. The situation quickly degenerated, forcing the police to use tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.
