A slight earthquake was recorded this Friday morning in Goubellat, in the governorate of Béja. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), the quake occurred at 7:49 a.m. local time, with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale.
According to the first seismological analyses, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 36.59° latitude and 9.69° longitude, in the Goubellat region itself.
This type of shaking, although perceptible locally, remains considered weak and without major danger.
The INM continues to monitor the area through its network of seismological stations in order to detect possible aftershocks.
