A new health cooperation project between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia provides for the creation of a children’s hospital in Monastir.
The announcement was made on the occasion of a joint visit this Wednesday morning, of the Director General of Health, Dr Abderrazek Bouzouita, and Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Rabiah, advisor to the Saudi royal cabinet and general supervisor of the King Salman Center for help and humanitarian actions.
The visit took place at the Fattouma Bourguiba de Monastir university hospital, where the two officials discussed the prospects of this strategic partnership in the medical sector.
Dr Al Rabiah praised the level of Tunisian medical skills, saying that the currently committed efforts aim to provide Monastir with a pediatric establishment capable of providing care that meets the standards of the most developed countries.
He also called for a strengthening of the bilateral partnership in the health field, highlighting Riyadh’s desire to support projects with high added value for the two countries.
This project is part of a broader dynamic of cooperation between Tunis and Riyadh, marked by an intensification of exchanges in the humanitarian and medical fields.
