The municipal teams of Sfax resumed, this Friday, November 4, the lifting of household waste after the closure since October 31 of the temporary discharge of the port.
In a declaration to the TAP agency, the mayor of the municipality of Sfax, Mounir Loumi indicated that the municipal cleanliness teams should raise 1500 tonnes of garbage accumulated for three days to unload it in a new provisional public deposit located on the road to Germana (41 km).
However, he pointed out that the regional and municipal authorities in coordination with the Advisory Committee for monitoring the waste crisis are still examining and studying adequate solutions to solve the problem.
