The sector claims to be fully prepared for winter and guarantees price stability
Mohamed Mnif, president of the National Chamber of Domestic Gas Bottle Distributors, assured Monday November 24, 2025 that the gas supply will be guaranteed throughout the winter season. Speaking on Mosaique FM, he spoke of a sector that was “totally mobilized” and ready to avoid the disruptions seen the previous year.
Increased production
According to Mnif, the filling centers have significantly improved their capacities, allowing an increase in the rate of production before entering the cold period. Companies have also consolidated their logistics systems to avoid any disruption in supply, a point which seriously weakened distribution last winter.
He affirms that all anticipatory measures have been taken: reinforced coordination between distributors, intensified truck rotation plan and daily inventory monitoring. The President of the Chamber insists that “the entire network is ready to meet demand, even in the event of successive cold waves”.
Price stability confirmed
Mnif also announced that the price of the domestic gas bottle will remain unchanged, set at 8,800 millimes, with no increase planned. A decision which comes in a context of inflationary pressure, but which the authorities and distributors claim to be able to maintain thanks to the control of production costs and existing compensation mechanisms.
This price stability aims to reassure households, while domestic gas remains a basic necessity during winter, particularly in inland regions.
The sector claims to have learned lessons from the difficulties encountered the previous year, marked by prolonged queues, distribution delays and increased tension on available bottles. This year, distributors are banking on closer coordination and real-time monitoring of regional needs.
Mnif says he is confident:
“We are ready for winter and for any increase in consumption. All necessary measures have been taken to guarantee continuous supply. »
