A gradual deterioration in the weather affects a large part of the country this Tuesday, with an increasingly cloudy sky and precipitation expected first in the west, then in the north and locally the center.
Weather authorities are warning of sometimes heavy rain in the far northwest, while winds and sea conditions will complicate sailing conditions.
Rains extending towards the north and center
The weather is moving this Tuesday towards a significantly more unstable configuration across the entire territory. If the sky initially remains partially overcast in most regions, the cloudiness will gradually increase in density, particularly in western areas, where the first precipitation will appear.
The showers, initially scattered and sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, will spread overnight to other northern regions as well as certain central areas. Meteorological services are warning of a risk of locally sustained precipitation, particularly in the far northwest, a region traditionally more exposed to winter disturbances.
This situation could lead to significant flows in certain wadis and occasional traffic difficulties in mountainous areas.
The wind, oriented to the west, will blow with notable intensity on the coasts and in the south, reaching fairly strong gusts locally. Elsewhere it will generally remain low to moderate.
Relative drop in temperatures
Temperatures will begin to drop slightly in the north and center, while they will remain generally stable in the south. Maximums will range between 11 and 15 degrees in the western, northern and central regions, between 16 and 21 degrees in most other regions, and could reach up to 24 degrees in the far southeast.
This new episode confirms the gradual installation of more marked winter conditions over a large part of the country.
