The member of the coordination of joint work for Palestine, Wael Naouar, announced that the departure of the Global Sumud Flotilla, planned to break the headquarters of Gaza, is postponed to Wednesday September 10, 2025.
Initially scheduled for Sunday, September 7 since the port of Sidi Bou Saïd at 4 p.m., this departure was postponed for “force majeure” reasons. Naouar has not detailed the reasons, but sources close to the organization mention logistical delays linked to the departure of Spain and unfavorable weather conditions.
“Due to circumstances independent of our will, the departure to Gaza is postponed to Wednesday. However, the activities scheduled tomorrow in Sidi Bou Saïd to accommodate the Spanish flotilla are maintained, ”wrote Naouar.
The Spanish flotilla, part in early September, must join the Tunisian contingent before the great common start. All boats will therefore remain in Tunisia until boarding scheduled for Wednesday.
This initiative brings together parliamentarians, militants and political leaders from various countries (Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Greece) to break the Israeli blockade imposed in Gaza, send humanitarian aid and alert the famine that affects the population.
