The criminal chamber specializing in financial corruption affairs to the Tunis court of first instance sentenced the businessman Youssef Mimouni to two years in prison.
The competent accusation chamber in matters of financial corruption with the Tunis Court of Appeal had previously decided to return Youssef Meimouni, accompanied by a second accused, before the specialized criminal chamber of the Tunis court of first instance, in order to judge them for charges linked to the abuse of function by a public agent with a view to obtaining an induced advantage for himself the administration, as well as for the offense of the regulations applicable to these operations in order to draw an undue advantage, also to the detriment of the administration.
The case concerns suspicions of financial and administrative corruption in connection with the maritime public domain.
