Winter weather is setting in in several regions of the country. Dense clouds, sometimes sustained precipitation and marked cooling are on the program, according to forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology.
The day promises to be largely dominated by unstable weather. Sometimes very dense clouds cover the North, Center-East and South, accompanied by scattered rain. These precipitations take on a stormy character at times, with locally significant intensities in the northern coastal areas.
Strong wind and very rough seas
The expected development throughout the day suggests a gradual easing of rain during the afternoon, without however a complete clearing of the sky.
The wind blows from the west, with relatively strong intensity near the coasts, while it remains weak to moderate in the interior of the country. At sea, conditions are difficult: it is very rough in the North and rough to locally very rough on the rest of the coast, calling for caution for maritime activities.
A clear cooling of temperatures
A significant drop in temperatures is recorded across the entire territory. Maximums generally oscillate between 11 and 16 degrees, while they drop to around 8 degrees in mountainous areas. A marked winter feeling, reinforced by humidity and wind.
