While rumors evoked an exceptional heat wave, the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) denies any extreme phenomenon. A drop in temperatures is even expected on Tuesday, accompanied by strong winds in the middle of the week.
Unlike rumors circulating, no heat wave or temperature records are planned in the coming days, said Abderrazak Rahal, an engineer at the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), this Monday morning on FM mosaic.
Temperatures, although high, remain in seasonal normal. This Monday, they will vary between 34 and 38 ° C on coastal areas and heights, and between 39 and 42 ° C in the other regions of the country. The winds, coming from the south, will be low to moderate, while the sea will remain not very agitated.
“There is no heat wave, no record figures to report,” said Rahal, sweeping alarmist speculation relayed on social networks.
The forecasts announce a progressive refreshment from Tuesday in the northern and center regions, although the South will continue to record high temperatures.
Wednesday will mark a clear drop in temperatures across the country. The wind will turn to the north and blow strongly on the coastal areas, becoming moderate inside the land. The sea will become very agitated, even locally stormy, which will require increased vigilance for maritime activities.
