Time will be marked this Friday, August 29, by a drop in temperatures and by sometimes abundant precipitation. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), locally dense clouds will cover the north and the center, with thunderstorm cells accompanied by rains.
This precipitation will also concern certain southern regions in the afternoon, notably at KEF, Siliana, Zaghouan, Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid and Kairouan, where hailstorms can occur in places.
Strong winds and agitated sea
The wind will blow from the northern sector, fortified relatively strong on the east and south coasts, where it will cause sand uprisals locally. It will remain low to moderate elsewhere, but may temporarily exceed 80 km/h in the form of gusts. The sea will be a messenger in the north and restless to very agitated on the east coasts.
Temperatures down
The maximums will display a notable drop: they will vary between 29 and 35 ° C in the North, the Center and the Southeast, between 36 and 41 ° C in the other regions, and will reach 43 ° C in the extreme South.
Note that yesterday the highest temperatures were recorded in Médenine (45 ° C), Tozeur (44 ° C), Gabes (44 ° C), Sidi Bouzid (43 ° C), Kebili (43 ° C), Sfax (41 ° C) and Gafsa (41 ° C).
