The weather will be unstable from this Thursday evening, with sometimes intense rain and thunderstorms, particularly in the south and coastal regions. The authorities are calling for vigilance.

According to forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology, the meteorological situation will be favorable, Thursday December 18, 2025 in the evening, for scattered rains, temporarily stormy in the south of the country. Precipitation could sometimes be heavy in the southwest.

The highest rainfall amounts are expected to be between 20 and 40 millimeters. These accumulations will also concern, in a more localized manner and with less intensity, certain central and northern regions.

What about Friday?

The instability will continue on Friday. The weather will remain favorable for rain in the majority of regions. These will be temporarily stormy and sometimes abundant in the southeast as well as in the eastern, central and northern areas.

The highest accumulations, estimated between 30 and 50 millimeters, are expected in particular in Cap Bon, in the Sahel and in the Sfax region. Local traffic disruptions and rapid rises in water levels in vulnerable areas cannot be ruled out.

Road users are urged to exercise caution, particularly in areas known for runoff and low spots, while residents in affected areas are urged to monitor the evolving weather situation.
