The Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, held a working session this Friday with several researchers and experts in biotechnology in order to examine the possibility of creating a regional training center in this strategic field.
This project aims to propose high -level training courses, develop the production of biomaterials, attract investments and strengthen cooperation, especially with African countries.
According to a ministry’s statement, the Minister insisted on the need to accelerate the stages to transform this initiative into a concrete project, focusing on a public-private partnership.
He stressed that Tunisia has scientific skills and industrial know-how capable of making the country a real regional platform in the field of biotechnology.
