The Minister of State and Land Affairs, Wajdi Hedhili, chaired this national transfer commission on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, as part of the application of law n ° 78 of 1991.
This law fixes the conditions for the sale of real estate acquired by the Tunisian State under the Tuniso-Français agreements. A revision of this text is currently underway to accelerate the liquidation of this historic land stock.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of these land regularizations, believing that they would allow these goods to be released from their fixed status and integrate them into the economic circuit. He called to increase the frequency of meetings of the National Commission and to accelerate the preparation of transfer files, in particular for persons with a priority right to purchase, while adopting an approach taking into account social considerations.
Wajdi Hedhili also recommended continuing coordination with the Ministry of Equipment and Housing as well as with the National Real Estate Company of Tunisia (SNIT), with a view to an exhaustive census of goods belonging to the state resulting from the liquidation of foreign property, by classifying them according to the legal or administrative issues that slow down their regularization.
The Commission has examined several files relating to regularization situations concerning occupants of state property from the former heritage of foreigners. These goods are located in several governorates, notably Tunis, Manouba, Ben Arous, Bizerte, Gafsa, Siliana, Jendouba, Sfax and Kairouan.
