Marketed online as a quick fix for burning fat, especially with a female audience, the “Lemon Bottle” product is the subject of an official warning. The Ministry of Health calls for the greatest vigilance in the face of use deemed dangerous.
The Ministry of Health launched yesterday an alert against the use of the product called “Lemon Bottle”, offered on the Internet in the form of slimming injections. Widely promoted for its so-called burnt-burning effects, this product notably attracts female clientele. But the health authorities sound the alarm.
In a press release published on its official page, the ministry specifies that this product is not authorized for injection or Tunisia or abroad. He warns against serious potential health risks, and calls on the population to refrain from using it.
“The origin and composition of” Lemon Bottle “remain unknown, and it is not registered with the National Agency for Medicines,” said the press release. No recognized scientific study allows to date to validate its effectiveness or safety.
The authorities highlight the risks linked to its use, including: acute inflammation, tissue lesions, thrombosis (obstruction of blood vessels), or even formation of subcutaneous fatty masses.
The ministry also recalls that aesthetic injections should only be practiced by approved specialist doctors, and only within authorized medical establishments. He warns health professionals that any use of this product could lead to heavy sanctions.
