The head of government, Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, chaired the Council of Ministers at the Kasbah this Thursday, January 8, 2026, on behalf of the President of the Republic, KaĂŻs SaĂŻed. She insisted on the speed in the processing of administrative files, the improvement of citizens’ daily lives and the need for modern legislation to respond to current challenges.

At the start of the work, Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri stressed the need for all those responsible, at central, regional and local level, to process files as quickly as possible and respond to citizens’ requests without delay.

Acceleration of the “legislative revolution”

She insisted on the obligation to provide clear justifications in the event of refusal and to find immediate solutions to resolve the problems that slow down the progress of public and private projects, in order to obtain concrete results and improve the daily lives of citizens.

The head of government recalled the importance of developing new laws adapted to current challenges and the aspirations of Tunisians, particularly young people.

She called for an end to partial or traditional solutions and to translate popular demands into concrete measures, affirming that the “legislative revolution” must be accompanied by a cultural and intellectual revolution. The objective is to ensure effective management of public services and the quality of services to citizens, in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic.

Draft laws and economic and social measures on the agenda

The Council of Ministers also examined several draft laws and decrees in the social, economic and investment fields, in order to support the development of the country and meet the needs of the population.
