During a meeting held this Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Palais de Carthage, the President of the Kaïs Saïed Republic received the government’s heading, Ms. Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzri, to take stock of her recent participation in the 4th International Forum on Development Financing, organized in Seville, Spain.

If he praised the favorable echo given to the voice of Tunisia on the international scene, the head of state above all insisted on the need to depth the national economic apparatus, based above all on the country’s own resources and avoiding any form of external dependence. “Cooperation can only be done on the basis of equality between partners, in total respect for national sovereignty,” he said.

But it is on the inner ground that Kaïs Saïed gave his firmer instructions:

“It is necessary to restructure urgently the institutions that bleed public finances and find national, radical solutions, and adapted to each sector. »»

In a resolutely sharp tone, he ordered the systematic eviction of anyone who has not been up to their responsibilitiescalling for replacing passive or failing profiles with Tunisians animated by a real sense of commitment, even if they lack technical experience.

This desire to reform is part of what the president describes as “National Liberation Fight”which he opposes internal resistances and bureaucratic gravitors. “The real battles are leading in the shadow, day and night, to meet the expectations of the Tunisian people,” he added, in a formula marked by an accessible and direct tone, faithful to his style.
